What's with the hatin' on short poetry?

Has anyone else in Seattle noticed a rash of defaced poems on the city buses? Most of the defaced poems are short, eg. haikus or couplets. I've seen them crossed out, with "Crap", "Stupid", or "This is poetry?" written in sharpie next to them.

Today on the bus, Aaron noticed one that said "Stupid". He said "Someone wrote the 'S' word!"

Yesterday Aaron was rolling a little magnetic ball over the table, picking up paperclips and staples. He said:

"Look, dad, it's a Katamari!"

During aforementioned consumption of burritos, I taught Aaron how to say "ROCK ON, CLEVELAND!" in a screachy hair metal voice. He's really good at the screechy voice and the "rock on" part, but not so much at saying Cleveland.

I'm trying to get him to give the rock symbol while he says it. Why they didn't include this essential sign in the Sign With Your Baby kit I will never understand.

The Valerie Plame scandal in a nutshell

update on my 09/06 post: Bush approval below 50% now

Aaron is holding his neck to the right, and he cries when Amber centers it. She's worried that it's CP. I'm also worried, but I'm not sure what to think. I'll reserve judgement until I can see him do. Poor guy :( They should come home now I think.

Aaron's first word was ".ogg"!! He's so into lossy audio compression these days!

electronic voting machine scandals (you mean the companies that make these things are huge Bush supporters? and they often have outcomes that contradict exit polls to favor Republican candidates? weird!)
